ALIVE! food distribution now at William Ramsay - Alexandria Times

Beginning July 17, William Ramsay Recreation Center, 5650 Sanger Ave., will become the third site for local nonprofit ALIVE!’s walk-up weekend food distributions, according to a news release. ALIVE! currently provides walk-up service at Cora Kelly Elementary School and Northern Virginia Community College’s Alexandria campus.

ALIVE! distributes bags of groceries, produce, chicken, eggs and bread two Saturdays per month from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., according to the release. ALIVE! also plans to collaborate with community partners to increase pop-up food distributions during the summer, which will see the nonprofit bringing bags of food to targeted neighborhoods or apartment buildings.
