Cinergy Entertainment Group announced its annual Thanksgiving food drive that benefits local food banks in the community, a press release stated.
People will be able to receive a free $5 game card or free popcorn in exchange for two cans of food (limit 2 offers per person). Guests can drop the cans off at any Cinergy location between Nov. 4 to Nov. 28.
More than two million households across Texas and Oklahoma are in severe need of their next meal, the press release detailed. Cinergy has donated over five tons of food to community food banks so far.
“The last two years have been especially challenging for those in our community struggling to feed their families. With Cinergy, we will be able to provide food to so many people in need,” James Marcum, commissioning pastor of StoneWater Church, stated in the press release. “we are excited to work together to make a difference in our community.”
“We are grateful to have the opportunity to help fight hunger in our communities and make the holidays a little better for the struggling families around us,” Traci Hoey, VP of Marketing, stated in the press release. “This year, we hope to provide over 5,000 meals for people in need throughout Texas and Oklahoma.”
